All of Gürsel's vehicles have attendants on board to make the necessary reminders during the trips to ensure the safety of the students. All vehicles are equipped with safety belts to be used by the students for their safety throughout the trip and telephones. The route of each school bus is carefully planned so as to minimize the time spent by our students in the school bus.
The transportation firm makes the necessary preparations based on the School Bus Request Forms filled out during registration and informs the parents on which bus their child will be in as well as morning pick-up and evening drop times before the school starts. School bus fees, determined by the transportation company is subject to approval by the Parent-Teacher Association before presented to you.

At the start of the academic year, parents whose children will use the school bus sign the School-Parent-School Bus Company Agreement a copy of which provided below:
"I hereby undertake to comply with the relevant articles among those stated below —as the school administration, parent and/or student, school bus firm— and state that I accept any result that might arise from my failure to do so.
School routes will be determined by the School Bus Committee, and will not be changed based on personal requests, and any complaint or suggestion regarding the route will be directed to the School Bus Committee in writing.
Parents will be provided with the ability to contact the driver when necessary via the GSM phones and car kits in the vehicles. Each school bus is required to have a car phone or mobile phone. In vehicles that have an attendant, the attendant will take phone calls when the vehicle is moving. The numbers of these car phones or mobile phones will be provided in writing to each parent and to Hisar Schools. These numbers will not be changed and telephones will be kept on at all times throughout the validity of this contract. Mobile phones will not be pre-paid but post-paid. Other than high school students who voluntarily wish to do so, no student will be transported in the front seats adjacent to the driver, regardless of his/her parents' permission. The high school student sitting in the front seat must wear a seat belt. No passenger may stand in the vehicle while traveling.
Where the total number of students in the same school bus is less than five, an automobile may be voluntarily allocated subject to the consent of the parent and approval of Hisar Schools.
No one other than the duty staff, students, Hisar School faculty members and school employees is allowed in the vehicle.
In case of a change in route or a delay of 30 minutes or more to the daily schedule due to a viable reason, the guidance staff will notify the parents of all students in the vehicle.
The school bus driver and attendants are not authorized to change the school bus route. The school bus routes are determined with a view to reducing the time spent by the students in the school bus. An alternative route may be taken upon approval by the School Bus Committee under absolutely necessary circumstances.
The designated speed limits for the vehicles are 90 km/h on TEM and 50 km/h in urban traffic.
Lights of the vehicles will be kept on short beam throughout the travel.
In the mornings, students must be ready at the entrance of their dwellings and escorted by the school bus guide to the vehicle. Parents may not request to be called on their phones or have their doorbells rung.
After the school bus routes and student pick-up/drop-off times are determined at the beginning of the academic year, new registrations may be made only when there are vacancies in the vehicle. The new registrant cannot insist if there are no vacancies. Parents are expected to show understanding for any changes that may arise in the pick-up/drop-off times due to the later addition of students to the school bus.
Persons who are in debt to the transportation company from the previous semester will not be registered for the new semester unless they pay their debt.
Students will wait for their vehicles and refrain from keeping the school bus waiting. (Attention should be paid to being present at the pick-up/drop-off point five minutes in advance of the arrival of the school bus.)
The school bus will wait for the student for a maximum of two minutes. At the end of the two minutes, it will make a time check with the Transportation Director and leave without the student.
The parent should call the school bus driver at least 30 minutes in advance if the student will not come.
In the evenings, students may not be dropped anywhere outside the route. The student is taken to the door of the dwelling where he/she was picked up. Parents cannot request that the student is taken to an individual apartment door.
Before departure, a head count will be taken at the school to avoid any student being left at the school.
During the drop, the school bus guide will escort the student to the building door and deliver him/her to the parent. If the parent is unable to go down to the building door, the guide will ring the buzzer and receive confirmation that he/she can leave the student there.
In case there is no one to receive the student, the parent will be called by telephone and instructions will be taken as to where to drop the student. If the parent is unreachable, the Transportation Director will be called and, depending on the directions provided by director, the student will be taken to either the school or the company headquarters.
If the student is not to take the school bus after school or will be picked up by a private vehicle, he/she is obligated to bring a signed permission slip from his/her parent and submit it to Student Services.
If the student is not to return back home by school bus, no request can be made to take the backpack or other similar belongings of the student back home.
The parent will notify the bus company 15 days in advance of any change of address. Otherwise, the bus company may not be held responsible for the problems that may arise.
If the student wants to stop using the school bus, Görsel Turizm must be notified in writing 15 days in advance. The school bus fee is then paid back to the parent after the fee for the 15 days starting from the written notification is deducted.
Students may not switch school buses without permission from the parent. The school bus firm needs to be notified of such changes via Student Services until 13:00.
After the students enter or leave the bus the school bus door must be closed under the supervision of the guide.
During the trip, the bus guide will remain standing in front of the middle door until the last student leaves the vehicle.
While crossing the street with the student or where the traffic is dense, the bus guide will warn the traffic using a Stop Sign.
Pre-school students will be taken from their classrooms by the bus guide.
For security reasons, students will not be delivered to anyone other than the parent or the designated person who receives them every day. When someone other than the person who regularly takes the student shows up to receive the student, the parent must be reached, and without the approval of the parent, the student will not be delivered to that person even if the student knows him/her.
Points to pay attention in the school bus
Safety belts must be worn when the school bus is moving. If a student fails to wear his/her seat belt, he/she will be warned three times after which the matter will be reported to the school by the bus company. Based on various experiences, students will not be permitted to consume food or drinks and to chew gum while the vehicle is moving. The use of pens, pencils and similar sharp objects or writing will not be permitted.
In the school bus, students will refrain from irritating others and endangering safety. (i.e. shouting, practical jokes, talking aloud, fighting, trying to open windows, leaning out of the window, extending one's arm or head outside, sitting on the armrests, standing, playing with the door.)
Under no condition, even if demanded and a tape provided by the students, may video and stereo systems be used during the transportation service. No stops will be made, unless necessary, anywhere other than the designated student pick-up/drop-off points.
Warnings of the teacher, and in the absence of one, of the guide will be adhered to.
Students who fail to comply with the school bus rules will be warned by the school bus teacher or guide. If the negative behavior continues, the parent will be called and informed by the School Bus Committee. Further persistence will result in the suspension of the student from the school bus service for an allotted period of time.
Parents should convey their requests and complaints not to the drivers or the bus attendants but to the School Bus Committee in writing.
