The program of our Science Department aims to help our students gain an awareness of, and reflect on the dynamic relationships between science, technology, society and environment, and to contribute to the education of the students as efficient citizens in the world.

Our course program is supported with visual and aural material and activities. The students take elective courses according to their interests, they work on creative projects and lab experiments, go on field trips where they meet experts in a variety of fields. Our students also participate in national and international projects, where they display their high quality work.

During the academic year 2008- 2009, our students achieved significant success in interschool project competitions. The EU Comenius RCube project, held jointly among schools from eight countries, was completed successfully with the cooperation of our students. The same year, science and astronomy days were held at our school. As a result of the eco-schools activities, we were one again awarded the Green Flag.
